What is Steel Bridge?
Steel Bridge is a national competition that requires students to design a bridge around 20 feet long and no taller than 5 feet. The bridge comprises multiple members that must be constructed during the timed competition.
Typically, the fall semester is devoted to designing the steel bridge. Fabrication begins in January and will continue until the regional competition in the first week of April. There are periodic meetings throughout the fall. However, things ramp up in the spring semester resulting in a higher need for involvement.
Meetings will be every Monday and Wednesday at 6:00 pm in Sustainable Education Building (SEB) 102!
